The start of the season postponed

To vary, theIndyCar announced a new change to its calendar for next season. This time, it is the opening Grand Prix which has been rescheduled taking into account the current situation.

IndyCar has confirmed that the Alabama Grand Prix will not take place on April 11 as originally planned but a week later. The decision was taken due to the resurgence of the health crisis but also for a question of distribution. “ The calendar changes we have had, strongly conditioned by the current pandemic, strengthen our start to the season », Underlines Mark Miles, the boss of the discipline.

The Alabama Grand Prix is the third event to undergo a change before the 2021 campaign even begins. The Long Beach meeting was postponed until the end of the year while that of Saint Petersburg has been rescheduled for April.
