Without a wheel for the 2019 F1 season, Marcus Ericsson will head to IndyCar next year by joining Schmidt Peterson Motorsport.

Marcus Ericsson heads to IndyCar

Marcus Ericsson will continue to ride next year in car, but its main program will focus onIndyCar where he will evolve with Schmidt Peterson Motorsport. The Swede who has nearly a hundred Grand Prix starts in F1 was pushed towards the exit with the tenure of Kimi Räikkönen and rookie Antonio Giovinazzi.
