Extended program for Jack Harvey

Jack Harvey will enjoy an expanded program with Meyer Shank Racing this season. The 25-year-old Briton will start ten races in 2019 compared to six last year and will once again take part in the Indy 500. His best result in 2018 was a 12th place in Long Beach (California).

“I'm really pleased to have been able to get a more comprehensive program, comments Jack Harvey. That's always been the goal for 2019 and it's fantastic to be able to achieve that by continuing to evolve in what I do. From now on, I will have to seek better results and I am sure that we will achieve them because I believe in us. »

His program will begin with the first six events of the championship by participating in the events of St Petersburg (March 10), Austin (March 24), Barber (April 7), Long Beach (April 14), as well as the Indianapolis road race ( May 11) which precedes the 103rd edition of the Indy 500 (May 26). The Briton will take the wheel again at Road America (June 23), Mid-Ohio (July 28) to finish the season in Portland (September 1) and Laguna Seca (September 22).

Meyer Shank Racing will have work to do since the team of Mike Shank and Sam Schmidt will also be entered in IMSA with his Acura NSX GT3 Evo entered in GTD.

“The year promises to be busy, confirms Mike Shank, but I know that my team is working against the clock to get the job done. The selected program allows us to do both championships without suffering from a clash of dates. We therefore give ourselves the best chance to obtain the best results. »
