Randy Bernard supported by Chip Ganassi

Dan Wheldon's accident in Las Vegas is still on everyone's minds as theIndyCar is preparing to begin the start of the 2012 season with the new Dallara DW12 where several engine manufacturers will compete. The discipline is currently going through a complicated period where its director Randy Bernard is not spared from the criticism which continues to grow in recent times, in particular his desire to maintain double file restarts considered dangerous by some.

Chip Ganassi wanted to support the president of IndyCar who has been going through a difficult time lately. “There are lots of aspects to learn in this discipline for someone who comes from the outside”, comments the owner of the eponymous team. “No one is more motivated to learn than Randy Bernard. Just look at the new things we have since he arrived. We have a new car, a new engine competition, new regulations, a new method of purchasing and distributing single-seaters... Every time he comes up for air, we put his head back under water. The good news is that Randy seems to be able to stay in apnea. »
