Rinus VeeKay joins Ed Carpenter Racing

Ed Carpenter Racing has confirmed the hiring of Rinus VeeKay for the entire 2020 IndyCar Series season.

Rinus VeeKay joins Ed Carpenter Racing

Real name Rinus van Kalmthout, Rinus VeeKay will be one of the rookies to watch in 2020 in IndyCar Series. The Dutchman, 2019 Indy Lights runner-up and Pro Mazda champion the previous year, will be one of the leaders of the Ed Carpenter Racing team next year, for a full campaign across the Atlantic.

VeeKay will drive the DW12 – Chevrolet n°21 and had tested for Ed Carpenter's team last August, his first laps in the premier category of the car American, in Portland, before returning to the seat last October in Mid-Ohio.

The number of places available in IndyCar is very limited, so it is a great honor to have been chosen to join their team. »

VeeKay will become the youngest Dutchman to take part in the Indianapolis 500 next May.
