Felix Rosenqvist will have long fought for victory at Texas Motor Speedway which launched the 2020 season ofIndycar. The Chip Ganassi Racing resident was in second place behind his teammate Scott Dixon, but the Swede's race ended around ten laps from the finish.
While trying to overtake latecomer James Hinchcliffe, the Scandinavian spun and hit the wall.
“I can't blame others for a situation I suffered, commented Felix Rosenqvist on NBC. I took the outside but I probably shouldn't have. You're always tempted to change lane when you're stuck behind a car going 40mph (around 64km/h), but this line was very slippery. »
Felix Rosenqvist will be able to turn the page at the beginning of July with the Indianapolis GP, a road circuit which will suit him better even if the Swede has noted notable improvements on the ovals.
“I feel sorry for my team because the car was just incredible. I made real progress on the ovals and I had a very good race in my opinion, so I am very disappointed”, recognized the driver of Chip Ganassi.
