Felix Rosenqvist took the first pole of his IndyCar career after winning qualifying for the Indianapolis GP.

Rosenqvist takes his first pole at the Indianapolis GP

Felix Rosenqvist (Chip Ganassi Racing) was the fastest in Fast Six at the Grand Prix of Indianapolis, the road event on the Indiana circuit on which the 500 Miles will be contested later in the month. The rookie only waited until his 5th event in IndyCar to score his first pole.

The Swede preceded his teammate Scott Dixon by a hundredth, while Jack Harvey (Meyer Shank Racing) and Colton Herta (Harding Steinbrenner Racing) preceded Ed Jones (Ed Carpenter Racing) and Will Power (Team Penske) in the final part qualifications.

Graham Rahal and simon pagenaud (Team Penske) will share the fourth row of the grid, the former champion ahead of Marcus Ericsson (Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports). Sebastian Bourdais (Dale Coyne Racing) will start behind the former resident ofAlfa Romeo Clean F1.

 

 

The Indianapolis GP will be broadcast this Saturday at 23:45 p.m. on Canal+ Sport.
