Sao Paulo: Barrichello reviews

Last week, we told you about the choice ofIndyCar Series than to hold the first race of its next season in the streets of Sao Paulo, Brazil. It had been decided several months ago that the 2010 season would begin in the country of Tony Kanaan and Helio Castroneves, but the Sao Paulo site was only chosen very recently. However, three months before the event, the route is still far from being defined, a situation which worries Rubens Barrichello.

For the veteran of the set F1, the choice of the organizers of the IndyCar Series is bad, for safety reasons. “ Sao Paulo is not Abu Dhabi, where they were able to build the track quickly, and where it is a real race track. There is no good solution (in Sao Paulo) because the safety of the pilots cannot be ensured. I think it?s stupid as much as it is not to have this race at Interlagos », confides the Brazilian.

Unlike his compatriot, Tony Kanaan, entered in the IndyCar Series, is happy with this choice, the driver being able to perform at home. “ I?m really looking forward to this race », confides Tony Kanaan. Note that the latter is teaming up, this weekend, during the 500 Miles of Granja Viana, a race karting taking place in Brazil, with? Rubens Barrichello.
