Robert Wickens has released a new video in which we see the 29-year-old Canadian walking with assistance. The pilot injured his spine following an accident in Pocono (Pennsylvania) on August 19 continues his convalescence with the help of an exoskeleton helping him to move.
“Here’s a video of me with the exoskeleton. It was a big day and the first time I could take more than three steps without being exhausted. My right leg is not assisted and the left is assisted by the exo », commented the pilot IndyCar on Twitter.
Here's a clip of me in the Exoskelton. This was a big day and the first time I could take more than 1-3 steps before tiring out! My right leg is unassisted and the left leg on being supported by the exo. pic.twitter.com/OFVy17Uqtj

Robert Wickens seems to be keeping his spirits up. Last Monday, he published a photo of himself with his connected watch on which we could read: “It’s time to stand up and move around for a minute. » The Canadian took a humorous tone by commenting: “It seems my new watch didn't get the info…”
I guess my new watch didn't get the memo… pic.twitter.com/uM47J50rOT
