Will Power returns to victory in Edmonton

Starting from second place on the starting grid, Will Power took the lead of the race after the fall in the standings of polesitter Takuma Sato (KV Racing Technology-Lotus), who only finished in a disappointing 21st place.

After abandoning in Toronto, the Team Penske driver returned to success by signing his fourth victory of the season. The Australian returns to Championship leader Dario Franchitti (Target Chip Ganassi Racing), third behind Helio Castroneves which offers the double to Team Penske.

Tony Kanaan (KV Racing Technology-Lotus) and Justin Wilson (Dreyer & Reinbold Racing) complete the top five, just ahead of Sébastien Bourdais (Dale Coyne Racing), which finished in sixth place as in the Toronto event.
