It's confirmed ! Isack Hadjar will be present on the Formula 2 grid in 2023. The Frenchman continues the adventure with the Hitech GP team whose colors he already defended last year in Formula 3 FIA.

The Frenchman is promoted in the anteroom of the Formula 1 after a very solid F3 rookie season concluded in 4th place in the championship with 1 pole position, 2 best laps, but above all 5 podiums including 3 victories. One from the start of the season in Sakhir (Bahrain), then at Silverstone (United Kingdom)… and on the grounds of Red Bull Ring where he is the author of a Hat trick (when the driver achieves pole position, the best lap in the race and victory).

The American Jak Crawford, also a member of the Red Bull Junior Team, will be his teammate.

Just 18 years old, the Frenchman and Red Bull protégé only joined the Winged Taurus young driver team last year. A thunderous rise and a brilliant start to the F3 season, so much so that Isack Hadjar is already fighting for the top step of the ranking. “ 2022 is the best season of my young career. I learned a lot throughout the year, he declares, looking back on his past campaign. I didn't expect to fight for the championship until the end. But our hard work, of me and the whole team, was rewarded from the first races. After taking the lead in the championship, the second part of the season was not ideal with several errors at Spa (Belgium) and Monza (Italy) which cost us the title. »

The best rookie of the season finished just off the podium behind the trio Victor Martins (ART Grand Prix), Zane Maloney (Trident) and Oliver Bearman (Prema).

But there is no question for the Paris native of taking his foot off the accelerator. “ What I keep in mind is that we were always fast and our pace was always consistent. I loved every second of the work done with Hitech, in Asi Regional Formula or Formula 3 and I can't wait to continue collaborating and winning with them in Formula 2! »

And he won't be the only member of Red Bull's junior team competing in F2 next year. In total, there will be 4 of them alongside the Frenchman and his teammate at Hitech GP: Ayumu Iwasa (DAMS), Enzo Fittipaldi (Carlin), Zane Maloney (Carlin) and Dennis Hauger (MP Motorsport).
