Jakarta will be the first city in Indonesia to host an ePrix Formula e. The date of June 6, 2020 was ratified by the sporting authorities, which would make the Asian event the 11th round of the 2019-20 season of the electric series (subject to modification by the FIA World Council in early October).

The temporary circuit will be installed around the Nationa Monument, in the center of the city and in the heart of Merdeka Square. Drivers will have to negotiate 13 turns spread over 2,4 km.
