Jean-Eric Vergne has no doubts about the success of Techeetah

The two difficult races in Hong Kong and Marrakech were almost erased by the convincing result achieved by Jean-Eric Vergne in Buenos Aires almost a month ago now. The Techeetah driver was finally able to make the most of the qualities of the traction chain Renault Z.E. 16, which equips the car of its new stable, and conclude in the wake of Sébastien Buemi, winner for the third time in three races in 2016-2017.

A return to the forefront which can only delight Vergne, who reminds us that Techeetah is only at the beginning of its history. “We are a new team and we are preparing for the future. I'm here for the long term, everyone is extremely motivated, underlines the former pilot F1 on the Formula e website.

We have one of the best powertrains, extremely good engineering and mechanic people, everyone is very competitive and competent and I know we will succeed. I am in an excellent state of mind. »

If performance and reliability remain there for Techeetah, Vergne aims to take advantage of the remaining events on the calendar (six, including three double meetings in Berlin, New York and Montreal) to return to the ranking, even if the three victories of Sébastien Buemi have placed the Swiss Renault e.dams in an extremely favorable position.

“Buemi has a big lead, but the championship is very long and motorsport is like that. This is the beauty of sport and I am very confident that we will have good results. » concludes the native of Pontoise.
