Jean-Karl Vernay in full light

Jean-Karl Vernay, after his fifth place in the 2009 Formula 3 Euro Series championship, crossed the Atlantic to compete in a full program, in Firestone Indylights, the antechamber of the?IndyCar Series. The Frenchman, for his first race in Indylights, on the street circuit of St Peterburg (Florida), won, showing his ability to adapt to a new world, a new discipline.

Before competing in the race at Barber Motorsports Park, the man Americans call “Jay Kay Veurnay” recognizes that this initial victory brought him into the spotlight. “ Since my victory, it?s pretty incredible, recognizes driver Sam Schmidt Motorsports. I was very solicited by the media. I was a guest on racefanradio.com and also autosportradio.com. I did a pretty cool article for indycar.com, and there was a great article about me in AUTOhebdo, the biggest racing magazine in France. »
