Santiago E-Prix postponed due to Covid-19

The year 2021 has not even started yet and Covid-19 has already taken over several events. After'cancellation of Rally Sweden and fears hovering over the Dakar, Formula E announced – overnight – the postponement of the E-Prix in Santiago (Chile) to a later date not yet determined.

« In consultation with the Municipality of Santiago, the Santiago E-Prix has been postponed. The double-header races will not take place, as planned, on January 16 and 17 and we are working with the city to finalize the dates on which to hold these races later, during the first quarter of 2021. »

If no solution is found beforehand, it is to Saudi Arabia that the honor of inaugurating the seventh season of Formula E should go, the first for the discipline with the world championship label. Supposed to be the second meeting of the upcoming campaign, the Riyadh E-Prix is ​​scheduled for February 26-27.
