Formula E sets its program

Formula E will begin in just over a month in Beijing for the first meeting of the season. The events being concentrated on a single day, the organizers therefore carried out two complete test simulations at Donington Park in Great Britain where the teams have already carried out several test sessions. Everything was controlled, whether it was the accreditations or the TV broadcasts. The second session allowed the teams to race with their four single-seaters, carrying out practice, qualifying and an endurance session.

The organizers admit to having encountered difficulties but nevertheless consider the operation a success. “Carrying out a major sporting event in the heart of cities all over the world requires careful preparation”, commented Alejandro Agag, the director of Formula E. “We want the Formula E Beijing ePrix to be a fantastic spectacle. This is why we leave nothing to chance by rigorously testing all systems. We are generally satisfied with the way things went. »

Concretely, each Formula E meeting will offer two practice sessions, one of 45 minutes and the second of half an hour. Qualifying will be divided into four groups, each made up of five drivers who will have ten minutes to achieve the best possible time. The race will be the highlight of the show and will last about an hour.
