Formula E will slowly gain momentum

La Formula E will see its power gradually increase over the next three seasons. The organizers of the discipline will limit the maximum power to 200 kW in the next season, while it will be increased to 220 kW in the fourth season and 250 kW in the fifth. The electric single-seaters will then have gained 25% power.

If the first studies studied the possibility of reaching this power from the next season, the analysis of the performance of the batteries and the development costs to develop these technologies have pushed the organizers to review their plans.

The electric single-seaters will benefit from regenerative power increased to 150 kW compared to 100 kW currently and will see their weight reduced by 8 kg to reach 880 kg.
