Belgian authorities have seized the Dallara used by Giuliano Alesi (Trident) during the Long Race Formula 2 in Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) on August 31. The Frenchman was involved in the accident having cost the life of Anthoine Hubert in the second round of the event.
The car is temporarily seized while the authorities complete their investigation. Giuliano Alesi will however be able to race at Monza (Italy, September 5-8), replacing his teammate Ralph Boschung in the second car Trident. The Frenchman, pilot of the Ferrari Driver Academy, is 19th in the F2 championship before this penultimate meeting.
The Swiss finds himself ousted from the Italian meeting despite himself, and hopes to be back on the grid for the trip to Sochi (Russia, September 27-29). let's remember that the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) has opened an investigation in coordination with the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium (Racb) and the Belgian authorities shortly after the Spa-Francorchamps tragedy.
