Pole for Wehrlein in Paris, Vergne out of the top 10

Although a beginner in Formula e, pascal wehrlein (Mahindra) quickly understood the specifications of the electrical discipline. The German scored his first pole position of his career during qualifying in Paris this Saturday April 27.

“It was a great session. The previous races didn't go very well, I wasn't satisfied, explains the champion DTM 2015. This weekend we made big progress and it’s starting to pay off. We have to finish the job, and not do like in Mexico (where he lost the victory in the last lap. Editor’s note). » The performance surprised some observers, like the Venturi team through this humorous Tweet:

The former Manor and Sauber driver went fastest in Super Pole. He is ahead a nice group shot of the Nissan e.dams, with Oliver Rowland in second row, ahead of his teammate Sébastien Buemi

Felipe Massa (Venturi) achieves his best pole of the season with the fifth time. He is ahead of the leader of the general classification Jérôme d'Ambrosio (Mahindra); the Belgian is the one who is doing the best among the virtual podium of the Drivers' championship. The best French representative is Tom dillmann (NIO) who achieved the 11th fastest time.

Among the favorites for the title, many have set an average time. This is the case of Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Techeetah), who will have to fight from 14th place. Sam Bird (Virgin) and Antonio Félix Da Costa (BMW i Andretti) will also have their work cut out for them by starting 15th and 16th.

Present on the podium in Rome (Italy), Mitch Evans (Jaguar) and Stoffel Vandoorne (HWA Racelab) have fallen heavily in the rankings and are at the bottom of the rankings.
