The suspension of the calendar extended, the Berlin ePrix in question

La Formula E confirmed this Thursday the extension of the suspension of its calendar, already effective until the end of April, for the months of May and June, in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. An announcement which in fact makes it impossible for the Berlin ePrix to be held on the scheduled date of June 21.

The month of July is now placed under a “yellow flag”, a situation imagined by Formula E to give a glimpse of racing possibilities in the future. It should be remembered that several European countries, including Belgium and Germany, have formalized the ban on mass events until the end of August.

In addition to Berlin, New York and London remained on the calendar, two destinations where the pandemic is unfortunately hitting the United States and the United Kingdom hard. Formula E hopes to organize an end of the season with as many races as possible, even if it means thinking behind closed doors, or the use of permanent circuits.

Double-race meetings or even an extension of the calendar are other avenues explored by the organizers.
