For its tenth season, the GP2 Series will once again take place as a curtain-raiser to certain events of the world championship of Formula 1. The opening round will take place in Sakhir and the season will conclude, like this year, on the Yas Marina circuit.
Bruno Michel, the director of the championship, has decided to keep the same number of meetings, eleven, while two new events are appearing: Austria (Red Bull Ring) in June and Russia on the weekend of October 10-12.
“2014 will be our tenth season and we will once again have thirteen teams and twenty-six drivers fighting for the title, revealed Michel. Their goal is to show their talent in front of all the Formula 1 teams.”
