IndyCar will not return to New Orleans in 2016

IndyCar organizers have announced to Louisiana GP promoters that the discipline will not return in 2016.
The calendar for the 2016 seasonIndyCar will be done without NOLA Motorsports Park. The organizers of the discipline communicated the news to the promoters of the Louisiana GP who welcomed the American single-seaters last April.
The Louisiana GP had been criticized, particularly in terms of safety. The deplorable weather had greatly disrupted the event won by James Hinchcliffe.
“They didn’t go into detail. We are continuing discussions for them to return in 2017 and the following years », commented Kristen Engeron, director of NOLA Motorsports Park, in the New Orleans Advocate.
