The 2015 IndyCar calendar will host a stopover in Louisiana on the New Orleans track.

IndyCar will pass through New Orleans in 2015

The 2015 season of theIndyCar does not yet know its final calendar but New Orleans will appear on the teams' programs for next year. It is at the NOLA Motorsports Park that the teams will set up shop on April 12. Work is underway to complete the circuit and bring it up to the safety standards required by the American championship. “Work is underway to transform NOLA Motorsports Park into an IndyCar-ready circuit, with state-of-the-art equipment, grandstands and viewing platforms for racing fans to enjoy a truly enjoyable experience. » admits Laney Chouest, owner of the complex.

“Going to a new region and every opportunity to develop IndyCar is a good idea. The race is going to be very exciting for spectators and will bring a new audience to the trackside. » says the series' president of competition and operations, Derrick Walker.

This track had hosted the lower echelons of IndyCar, including USF2000 during the Cooper Tires Winterfest. 4,296 km long, it has also undergone several modifications, which were validated by series officials and by several drivers including Graham Rahal (Rahal Letterman Lanigan) and James Hinchcliffe (Andretti Autosport). It is also Andretti Sports Marketing which will act as promoter of the New Orleans race which will take place in parallel with the French Quarter Festival, a music festival.
