Lopez extended at Dragon Racing

The Argentinian will try to do better than 17th place with the American team for his second year of collaboration in Formula e.

The Dragon Racing team reiterates its confidence in Jose Maria Lopez. The Argentinian will therefore carry out his third campaign in Formula e for the 2018-19 season of the electrical discipline.

Despite a meager 17th place in the final (after, it is true, a missed season opener in Hong Kong due to short-lived replacement by Neel Jani), the three-time World Touring Car Champion (WTCC) will drive the American team’s Gen2.

“I am happy to continue with Dragon Racing, new challenges ahead and I am looking forward to achieving important things in my career », he explained on his Instagram account.

José Maria Lopez arrived in Formula E in 2016 with the DS Virgin Racing team and achieved a best result of third place in New York in 2017.
