Mick Schumacher new reference at Jerez

Mick Schumacher (Prema Racing) signed the benchmark of the week in testing F2 played in Jerez (Spain). With a time of 1'24''028, the son of the seven-time world champion was 2 tenths ahead of his closest pursuers with Jack Aitken (Campos Racing) in the lead. The best times were achieved in the morning session.

The day was marked by the stop on the track of Sean Gelael (Prema Racing) followed shortly after by the spin of Nikita mazepin (ARTGP). Another interruption occurred following Mick Schumacher's loss of control before entering the final corner. In the afternoon, the session was interrupted three more times with the simultaneous stops of Jack Aitken and Juan Manuel Correa (Sauber Junior Team by Charouz), then those of Nikita Mazepin and Giuliano Alesi (Trident).

Dorian Boccolacci (Campos Racing) set the 6th fastest time of the morning before completing the afternoon standings. Giuliano Alesi took 7th position before completing the top three after the break. Anthoine Hubert (BMW Arden) remained behind with 19th and 15th places.
