Montagny without pressure in Sonoma

Franck Montagny will make his big debut this weekend in Indycar in the Andretti Green team. At Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, the French driver will be alongside Danica Patrick, Marco Andretti, Tony Kanaan and Hideki Mutoh in the team led by Michael Andretti.

« It?s good to be back with Andretti Green ", said Montagny in reference to his 2008 stint with the team in the ALMS. “ This weekend will constitute a new challenge which will be very interesting. The Infineon Raceway is a great place to have fun and I collected quite a bit of data on the car during testing here last week. We still have a lot to learn from the car as it was only a one-day test. »

The Frenchman, second of the last 24 Hours of Le Mans with Peugeot , does not set a specific objective and is there to learn. “ It?s difficult to predict anything for this weekend because I spent very little time in the car. But I think the most important thing for us is to do as many laps as possible, gather information to know what we need to make the car react the way I want it to. »
