Nashville – EL2: Herta confirms

Colton Herta continues his momentum. Already the fastest on Friday during FP1, the Californian from Andretti Autosport did it again during FP2. 

He beat his teammate, Alexander Red, yet made a mistake at the end of the session (damaged front wing), and Scott Dixon (Ganassi), victim of two spins, at the very beginning and then at the very end of the session. 

The championship leader, Alex Palou (Ganassi), set the 4th fastest time, ahead of Sébastien Bourdais (AJ Foyt), first representative of Chevrolet. 

The other two Frenchmen remained further behind. During a 45-minute incident-rich session on a demanding new urban route, simon pagenaud (Penske) also spun during his last lap, in a qualifying simulation.

The Poitevin was satisfied with the 11th time, Romain Grosjean (Dale Coyne) of the 15th. 

Qualifying will begin at 22:30 p.m. Will Andretti drivers, often comfortable on urban roads, confirm their ascendancy?
