Due to lack of steering wheel at Audi, Nico Müller remains at Dragon Penske Autosport. The Swiss, vice-champion of DTM this season, he was running for the official seat of the brand with the rings but his best enemy René Rast was selected. Müller will therefore begin a second season with Dragon Penske Autosport on January 16, this time as the main program, with the end of the DTM in its Class One version.
“I learned a lot from my first season,” comments the 28-year-old driver. “On city circuits, the track varies significantly during the race, which is a real challenge. Energy management is also very demanding. This is an area where we made progress during the offseason. We showed potential in 2020 and I hope we can convert it into results in 2021, we deserve it. »
Just like his teammates Brendon Hartley then Sergio Sette Camara, Nico Müller had however achieved a season at the bottom of the ranking with a twelfth place as his best result. On the other hand, the pre-season tests were very successful for the team, which had sought second and third positions in Valencia.
