Niki Lauda doesn't like Formula E at all

While F1 seems to be losing momentum in recent years and management is trying by all means to revive public interest, Formula E has received media attention which has surprised the FIA. The organizers of the electric single-seater discipline quickly revised their objectives upwards for the inaugural season which has a prestigious field and renowned partners.

However, Formula E divides the motorsport world. Niki Lauda followed the China ePrix in Beijing which opened the first season of Formula E on September 13. The non-executive chairman of Mercedes Motorsport has not been kind to this new discipline of electric single-seaters. “For me it was the worst thing I've seen in a long time. The cars look like toys, they drag themselves in single file. It's not motorsport.", commented the Austrian on Auto Motor und Sport.
