Nyck de Vries improves Jerez test benchmark

Nyck de Vries and ART Grand Prix remain the most energetic at the pre-season tests in Jerez, Spain. Already the author of the best time yesterday in 1'25"358 during the afternoon session, the Dutchman improved this Wednesday morning to 1'24"723 in the first hour of driving.

A mark which will not be improved throughout the day, mainly devoted to long relays, since de Vries is ultimately ahead of Luca Ghiotto and Guanyu-Zhou (Uni Virtuosi), respectively classified at 22 and 35 thousandths. Louis Delétraz (Carlin) and Mick Schumacher (Prema) complete the top 5 of the day.

It was the morning session that saw the best times this Wednesday, Dorian Boccolacci (Campos Racing) dominating the afternoon in 1'25″493. 15th time of the morning, the Frenchman was twice the fastest Tricolor, ahead in the first session Anthoine Hubert (Arden) 16th and Giuliano Alesi (Trident) 18e.

In the afternoon, Alesi set the second time 0″141 behind Boccolacci, when Hubert climbed to 8th place at 1″353 just ahead of Tatiana Calderon, his teammate at Arden and holder of the greatest number of laps after the break with 55 loops.

Nicholas latifi (DAMS), went off the track at turn no. 8, and Luca Ghiotto, also gone off at turn no. 8, caused the only two interruptions during the morning, while Hubert caused a red flag in the afternoon, as did Callum Ilott (Sauber Junior Team by Charouz).
