Nyck de Vries concludes pre-season testing on top

He had already hosted the first FIA pre-season driving session F2 in Jerez, ultimately dominated by Mick Schumacher (Prema), but this time, Nyck de Vries (ART Grand Prix) leaves the Spanish peninsula, and the Barcelona track, with the best time of the week.

Already better time on Tuesday, before seeing Sergio Sette Camara (DAMS) increase the tempo yesterday, the Dutchman from the French team improved the absolute reference this morning by 1'27 "024, a time which will not be beaten in the afternoon dominated by Juan Manuel Correa (Sauber Junior Team by Charouz), in a session devoted to long runs.

De Vries, despite stopping at the side of the track in the morning, was ultimately ahead of the Italian Luca Ghiotto (UNI Virtuosi), second overall time in 1'27"263. Sette Camara retains the honorary podium for these three days with her time from the day before in 1’27″392.

In the French clan, this Thursday saw Giuliano Alesi (Trident) take 16th place twice, while Anthoine Hubert (Arden) finished 17th twice.

FIA F2 drivers will begin their season on March 30-31 in Bahrain.
