Nyck de Vries leads in testing at Jerez

Nyck de Vries (ART Grand Prix) monopolized first place in the standings on the first day of testing F2 in Jerez (Spain). The Dutchman was in the lead during the morning before ending the day by remaining the author of the best performance with a time of 1'25''358 achieved in the second part of the day to advance Nicholas latifi (Dams) and Mick Schumacher (Prema Racing).

The first part of the day went off without a hitch apart from an interruption caused by a spin by Sergio Sette Camara (Dams). The afternoon was briefly interrupted by the stoppage of Jordan King (MP Motorsport) suffering from a mechanical problem, by the exit of the track by Juan Manuel Correa (Sauber Junior Team by Charouz) and by the stoppage of Sean Gelael (Prema Racing).

The morning times of Tatiana Calderon (BWT Arden) were canceled following a minimum weight not respected on her car. The Colombian set the 19th time of the afternoon just behind her teammate Anthoine Hubert, 15th in the morning. Dorian Boccolacci (Campos Racing) stood out in the first part of the session by setting the 8th time before falling to last position in the standings in the afternoon.
