Penalties withdrawn for Ghiotto and King

Luca Ghiotto and Jordan King saw their penalties in Race 1 on the Hungaroring (Hungary) be withdrawn. The UNI-Virtuosi driver and the MP Motorsport resident received a 5-second penalty for not having slowed down sufficiently under the safety car.

After further investigation, commissioners believed the situation was unique. Officials noted that the offending drivers could not slow down any further without risking a major accident.

Luca Ghiotto thus recovers 4th place ahead of Sergio Sette Camara (Dams), while Jordan King (MP Motorsport) moves up to 6th place ahead of Nobuharu Matsushita (Carlin).
