Home pole for Daniel Abt

Daniel Abt set the best time in the qualifying session for the Berlin e-Prix with a time of 1:09. He is ahead of Oliver Turvey, author of a good performance with the NIO. Jean-Eric Vergne (Techeetah) cannot do better than third place in Superpole just ahead of Jérôme D’Ambrosio (Dragon), also the author of a good performance. Lucas Di Grassi (Abt) was unable to fight for pole due to a mistake in superpole and will start 5e.

The qualifying session trapped some of the drivers at the head of the championship since Felix Rosenqvist (Mahindra) failed to qualify in SuperPole and failed in 6e position right in front Sébastien Buemi (Renault e.DAMS). The DS Virgins of Alex Lynn and Sam Bird are at the back of the top 10, only separated by Mitch Evans (Jaguar).

For his return to FE after 10 months without having touched the car, Tom dillmann sign on 12e time and ahead of his teammate at Venturi. Stephane Sarrazin (Andretti) qualifies 16e him also in front of his teammate, and Nicolas Cheers (Renault e.DAMS) cannot do better than 20e. Note that Andre Lotterer (Techeetah) qualified 18e, will start last after his penalty which he has held since the Paris e-Prix and Daniel Abt is under investigation for having used too much energy in Q1.
