Raffaele Marciello will return to the single-seater at the Marrakech tests

He was one of Italy's great hopes to regain a place in Formula 1, but Raffaele Marciello was ultimately unable to make it to the GP2 Series. Successfully reoriented in GT since 2017, with a commitment within the AKKA-ASP team, then within the fold Mercedes-AMG since last year, “Lello” will have the chance to find a seat of car next week.

A possible run as part of the rookie tests in Marrakech in Formula E, in the HWA AG team, which prepares the ground for the arrival of the star brand in the category next season.

Marciello will thus be able to test the Gen2 single-seater, usually entrusted to the champion DTM in title Gary Paffett and the Belgian Stoffel Vandoorne. Often recognized for his ability to adapt, Marciello will also be joined for the occasion by his Blancpain GT Series teammate Endurance Cup last year, the Spaniard Dani Juncadella, also a member of the Mercedes-AMG fold in recent years.
