Rome on track to join Formula e

The organizers of the Rome ePrix should soon rejoice since the Italian capital is likely to join the calendar of the Formula e for the 4th season in 2017-2018.

The Rome ePrix will be confirmed when the promoters of the Electric Single-Seater Championship have validated the addition of an event to the calendar and the track, which should be traced in the south of Rome, complies with the homologation process of the FIA.

“The prospect of having an ePrix in Rome is interesting, commented Alejandro Agag, the director of Formula e. It was here that the concept of the first Formula e was presented 5 years ago. We thank the city of Rome for responding to the requested requests and we are now one step closer to an urban electric race in the capital of Italy. »

“We will try to introduce Rome in spring 2018 and I am sure that the city will be on par with other major events such as Hong Kong, Montreal, Paris and New York,” added Alejandro Agag.
