Santino Ferrucci's sporting career could well be called into question following the Silverstone episode. Trident Motorsport has confirmed it has terminated the 20-year-old American's contract while he serves as a reserve at Haas F1 team.
Santino Ferrucci had to present his excuses after showing aggression towards his teammate Arjun Maini, colliding with the Indian after the finish of the sprint race. The Italian team had clarified that Mike Ferrucci, the driver's father, had also behaved inappropriately during the meeting which was held on the sidelines of the British GP.
Trident justified its dismissal by also citing payment defaults on the part of Santino Ferrucci's partners who had not fulfilled their obligations. Trident takes the opportunity to point out that the Haas test driver had the means to participate in the Detroit Grand Prix in IndyCar with Dale Coyne Racing.
