Scott Speed at Indy 500

The former Toro Rosso driver will participate in Indy 500 with the Dragon Racing team. The American also applied to be one of five drivers invited to the IndyCar finale in Las Vegas.

Thanks by Toro Rosso During the 2007 season, Scott Speed will make his return to car on May 15th on the occasion of the day reserved for beginners at the Indy 500: the “Rookie orientation program”. If he passes his passing exam and then manages to qualify, he will be among the 33 competitors who will compete in the Indy 30 Centennial race on May 500.

After leaving the F1, the American had found refuge in Nascar within the stable Red Bull thanks to his status as a pilot from the energy drink giant’s industry. Steering wheel which he had however lost at the end of 2010.

The team will also enter a single-seater at the Indy 500 for the Chinese Ho-Pin Tung in collaboration with the Sam Schmidt Motorsports team. Finally, Scott Speed is among the drivers eligible to be selected among the five who will be invited to race the final of theIndyCar in Las Vegas next October and likely to win the $5 million bonus.
