Injured to the D4 vertebra after seeing his car taking off on a banana in Barcelona in mid-August, Sean Gelael (DAMS) will make his big return to competition on November 28 in Bahrain for the last two rounds of the season. While the Indonesian initially hoped to return to competition in Russia on September 26, his recovery ultimately took a little longer than expected.
On its Twitter account, the French team DAMS announced that Sean Gelael was fully recovered from his injury, and took the opportunity to thank Jüri Vips for his four-round interim, during which the Estonian managed to secure a podium. Gelael will therefore find his teammate Daniel Ticktum and his car bearing the number 1 on the Sakhir track.
We are delighted to confirm that Sean Gelael will return for the final two rounds of the 2020 @ FIA_F2 season in Bahrain, having fully recovered from the injury he sustained in Barcelona.#F2 #AllezLesBleus pic.twitter.com/iXFPgtc3w7
