Sérgio Sette Câmara moves from Carlin to DAMS for 2019

Sergio Sette Câmara is the new recruit of the stable DAMS for the next FIA campaign F2. The Brazilian was confirmed this Friday morning by the French structure, which thus completes its duo for 2019, after having made the Canadian official a few days ago Nicholas latifi.

Sette Câmara will compete in his third season in the category, after having played with MP Motorsport in 2017 and Carlin in 2018. The native of Belo Horizonte had won his first victory in F2 in 2017 at Spa, but was unable to achieve this this year, signing however eight podiums.

The Brazilian driver also took part in the end of season testing in Abu Dhabi, thus having a first approach to his new environment.

“I already knew several members of the team, particularly in the F2 department, and I immediately felt welcome, underlines Sette Câmara. I'm looking forward to the start of the 2019 season and I think we're going to have a great year together. »

A campaign which will also see the new recruit officer as a test pilot of McLaren F1.
