Silverstone: Valerio, first!

However, everything starts well for Romain Grosjean. The Frenchman, who started on pole, retained the lead in front of a restless peloton. And in particular Lucas di Grassi: 5th at the start, the Brazilian moved up to 3rd position and attacked Valerio. Behind them are Mortara and Kobayashi who give up after hanging on. The hierarchy is established and certain pilots quickly move up to the front. Luca Filippi, who started 17th, moved up to the points gate (10th), while Chandhok, who started in 11th place, slipped into 6th position. But Sergio Perez, who started at the back of the grid (25th) wowed the gallery by making a spectacular comeback (13th).

In front, Valerio is very fast and threatens Grosjean. After 15 minutes of racing, the Brazilian tried his luck and obtained satisfaction: he led the race! Grosjean then goes a little wide and drops back again, giving second place to Lucas di Grassi. Halfway through the race, the supply chain rebalances the forces present. And this is just the conformation from the start of the race. The surprising Sergio Perez is now in 6th position and does not seem to want to stop there. For his part, Romain Grosjean must focus on not losing any more space after changing rear tires.

While Giedo Van der Garde goes into the gravel, di Grassi offers himself Hulkenberg and regains second place with 3 laps remaining. Not far from there, Sergio Perez is motivated as ever and presents himself in 4th position, threatening Niko Hülkenberg. Grosjean, 5th, is no longer in the fight for the podium but must protect his place against Chandhok, who is showing signs of overtaking. The race ended in the best possible way for the leading men. Silverstone scores a Brazilian double, with a surprising Valerio ahead of di Grassi. Grosjean, 5th, takes back control of the championship.
