The second driver will be a new face in the paddock of the Fe, in the person ofAlexander Sims. The Englishman is an official BMW driver in Imsa with the M8 GTE and has already rubbed shoulders with the Portuguese Antonio Félix da Costa during the 24 Hours of Le Mans (Sarthe) 2018 (retirement in GTE Pro).
The press conference held this Friday in Munich (Germany) was an opportunity for BMW i Andretti to unveil the dress that the two electric single-seaters, called BMW iFE.18, will wear. Blue and white, shades of the Bavarian manufacturer's logo are present, as well as a touch of matte black. Blue and purple streaks are reminiscent of BMW “pure electricity on board the car ».
