Six races in 10 days to conclude the 2019-20 Formula E season?

Forced to rest since the Marrakech ePrix (Morocco) on February 29, 2020, the Formula E could well put its foot back on the accelerator during the month of August. Several German and British media are indeed reporting six races organized in 10 days in one place!

A gargantuan program also mentioned by the double reigning champion Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Techeetah) on the occasion of 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual last weekend. “Maybe we’ll go riding in Berlin, announced the Frenchman during a Twitch live with his virtual teammate Pierre Gasly.

I think we're going to have six races in ten days, it's going to be crazy! We would finish the championship in ten days. But hey, it's not any worse, like that, it's done! It’s going to be hard, but if I have a good car there, it might be cool…”

The former Tempelhof airport would host this multitude of events. This base presents fewer constraints than truly urban routes (Rome, Paris, London, etc.) regarding the assembly of a sports enclosure and the extent of the land could even make it possible to vary the designs of the track.

To avoid indigestion, the organizers could separate the competitions into three “double headers” (double rounds), August 5-6, August 8-9 and August 11-12.

At a time of deconfinement in Europe, five rounds have taken place in Formula E and Antonio Félix Da Costa (DS Techeetah) leads the general classification ahead of Mitch Evans (Jaguar).
