Tommaso Volpe takes the lead in the competition at Nissan

Nissan Nismo, “Global Motorsports” entity of the Japanese brand will experience a change at its head. Michael Carcamo, in office since 2015 in the wake of the resounding GT-R Nismo LM P1 fiasco, will be promoted to the position of program director, and will lead the future development of Nissan's competition cars from Japan.

To replace it, the firm looked to its Infiniti Luxury branch, with the arrival of Tommaso volpe, until now director of Motorsports and Performance Projects of the brand.

Volpe, who notably developed the Engineering Academy in conjunction with the Renault team F1 Team, will thus supervise the programs Formula E, Super GT (these two sections including official entries) but also Prototype and GT3 from Nissan, two customer-competition oriented sectors.
