A vote to benefit drivers in Formula E

The promoters of Formula E are not afraid to ensure the success of the first season of the Electric Single-Seater Championship. A voting system has been set up on the Web since today in order to offer drivers a performance gain in races which will correspond to a “power boost” of 2”5 where the power will increase from 133kw (180hp) at 200kw (270hp).

Each Internet user will be able to select their favorite on Facebook, Twitter (@FIAformulaE), Sina Weibo (Chinese social network), or simply on the official website. The official Formula E application which will be ready on September 1 will even allow you to choose up to five drivers. Votes may be modified until closing on race day. The results will be revealed 20 minutes before departure.

If Formula E offers competition with innovative technologies, the promoters also seem ready to take a new step in interaction with the public. Be careful not to distort the sporting balance, especially since six of the 20 drivers entered have not yet been designated! The season will begin on the weekend of September 13 on the streets of Beijing.
