Van der Garde continues in GP2

Giedo van der Garde, like many drivers before him, struggled to find a seat available in Formula 1. The Dutchman's best chance was with Virgin Racing but it was the Belgian Jérôme d?Ambrosio who won the day. Van der Garde therefore drew a line under F1 in 2011. He will continue to drive in the GP2 Series with the Addax team.

“I am happy to have been able to clarify my future. I would like to thank the Addax team for their trust,” he confided. The GP2 Series will be powered by an all-new chassis in 2011, meaning everyone will be starting from scratch when it comes to car setup. »

In addition to his legitimate ambitions in GP2, Giedo van der Garde does not want to abandon the objective for which he fought this winter. “The new GP2 chassis poses a big challenge, so I am very motivated to fight for the championship. I want to continue working towards my ultimate goal, which is to drive in competitive Formula 1. »
