Giedo van der Garde, like many drivers before him, struggled to find a seat available in Formula 1. The Dutchman's best chance was with Virgin Racing but it was the Belgian Jérôme d?Ambrosio who won the day. Van der Garde therefore drew a line under F1 in 2011. He will continue to drive in the GP2 Series with the Addax team.

In addition to his legitimate ambitions in GP2, Giedo van der Garde does not want to abandon the objective for which he fought this winter. “The new GP2 chassis poses a big challenge, so I am very motivated to fight for the championship. I want to continue working towards my ultimate goal, which is to drive in competitive Formula 1. »
