Vandoorne enters Formula e with HWA AG

The announcement is only scheduled for next Monday, but AUTOhebdo is able to confirm the presence of Stoffel Vandoorne within the HWA AG team for the 5th season of Formula e which will see the debut of Gen2.

After two seasons at McLaren, Stoffel Vandoorne will therefore turn to Formula e after losing his steering wheel within the Woking team which preferred to focus on Carlos Sainz Jr and Lando Norris for the next year. The Belgian struggled to showcase himself on the MCL33, finishing in the points only three times, his last Top 10 dating back to the Azerbaijan GP (9th). The 2015 GP2 Series champion will be the teammate of Gary Paffett.

Stoffel Vandoorne will be present at the Valencia test at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo on October 16 and 17 just before the US Grand Prix in Austin (Texas).
