Vandoorne and De Vries confirmed at Mercedes

Stoffel Vandoorne and Formula 2 leader Nyck de Vries will represent Mercedes-Benz EQ in the German manufacturer's Formula E debut in 2019-20.

Vandoorne and De Vries confirmed at Mercedes

For its first season of official presence in Formula e in 2019-20, Mercedes-Benz EQ will trust Stoffel Vandoorne as well as the beginner Nyck de Vries. If the arrival of the Belgian was more than likely after a running-in campaign at HWA Racelab (of which Mercedes is the emanation in Fe), the signing of the Dutchman comes as a little surprise.

 

 

In a good position to win the championship Formula 2 this season, Nyck de Vries anticipates transfer window difficulties F1 and refocuses on electricity. “Formula E is a super platform that has already established itself as one of the most important and professional series outside of F1, he says.
