Vergne on pole in Berlin

“I went from zero to hero.” Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Techeetah) shows what the pride of a champion is. In great difficulty since the resumption of the championship Formula E in Berlin, even speaking of a “ nightmare ", Jean-Eric Vergne regained his superb form on Saturday, for the third Formula E race of the week.

The reigning champion showed himself well above the rest to set the best time of the classic session then the pole with almost five tenths ahead of Maximilian Günther (BMW i Andretti). “ I wanted to reset everything, and above all not give in to making it easier to let myself down.” he reacted quickly.

Jérôme D’Ambrosio will start third in his Mahindra, the only team to have put two cars in superpole.

Among the big names in the championship, Stoffel Vandoorne did the best with a fourth place. Practically titled with two races remaining and invincible since the start of the week in Berlin, Antonio Felix Da Costa could not do better than ninth. Vergne's teammate is still ahead of his adversaries Lucas Di Grassi (Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler), eleventh and especially Mitch Evans (Jaguar) only nineteenth.

The race promises to be lively. Jean-Eric Vergne will want to show that he is indeed back.

It will be followed live on our site from 19 p.m.
