Virgin racing launched its 2019-2020 season this Friday in Formula E by confirming its pilot tandem and revealing its car for the sixth campaign of the 100% electric series.
As in 2018-2019, the British Sam Bird and the Dutch Robin Frijns will defend the interests of the team sponsored by the Chinese entity Envision. Authors of three successes during the previous campaign, one for Bird in Chile and two for Frijns in Paris and New York, the team was ranked third in the Manufacturers' ranking behind DS Techeetah and Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler.
Audi which will also remain the technical partner of Virgin Racing, by supplying its e-tron FE06 powertrain. The single-seater based on the Gen 2 chassis will also be adorned with an updated livery but retaining the usual Virgin colors.

Frijns and Bird will be in action next week in Valencia, Spain for the official collective tests for the 2019-2020 season.
